Cameron Markell Nolan gained his love for art in Jackson, Mississippi, while attending the formerly named Power APAC Elementary School (now Ida B. Wells APAC). As a young violinist, his daily routine consisted of hearing the echoes of classical music reverberate off the walls, seeing dancers in leotards warming up before an arduous practice, and watching visual artists wash away today’s paint in preparation for tomorrow.

This performing art school foundation led him to create NOIR BY NOLAN. Cameron always had a knack for leadership and a thirst for knowledge; he graduated from Murrah High School (MHS), being named Mr. MHS  during his senior year. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Nolan migrated to Atlanta, Georgia, and received his B.A. in Economics with a minor in Sales/Marketing from Morehouse College. Cameron loved Morehouse so much that not only was he elected as the 89th Student Government Association President, but he also returned to the College in 2023 as a full-time staff member serving as the current Content Manager (Copywriter).

Through storytelling and vision, Cameron Markell plans to leave an indelible legacy in the film and entertainment industries.  According to him, “your responsibility in this life is to find your passion, and no matter what you do, do not stray away from it. Use your gifts for the good of mankind and be the shining light in a dim world.”
